Manny Gamazo

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Manny Gamazo has become a versatile drummer and percussionist in the vibrant and eclectic local music scene. He has been involved with awards shows, music festivals, musical theater productions, opera productions and symphony orchestras. Many of the organizations he’s involved with include: The Desert Winds, Super Summer Theater, Las Vegas Little Theater, Rainbow Company, “The Rat Pack is Back”, The Las Vegas Master Singers, Vegas City Opera, Opera Las Vegas, The Nevada Pops, The Las Vegas Sinfonietta, The Henderson Symphony and The Las Vegas Philharmonic.
Currently, he serves as the Principal Timpanist/Percussionist for the Henderson Symphony and Principal Timpanist/Percussionist for the Las Vegas Sinfonietta. Manny is a regular sub with the Las Vegas Philharmonic and regularly plays drumset on “The Rat Pack is Pack”.

When he’s not performing, he’s teaching middle school band for the Clark County School District, coaches the percussion section for the Las Vegas Young Artists Orchestra, maintains a private lesson studio and serves as secretary for the local chapter of the Percussive Arts Society.

Manny earned his Bachelor’s of Music in Education and Percussion Performance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he studied with Dean Gronemeier, Tim Jones and Gary Cook. He attended the first TAPS Seminar in 2015 and was on faculty for the Tuachan Summer Arts Institute. Manny is also a proud member of AFM Local 369.
