Previously he was the Assistant Principal Timpanist/Section Percussionist of the New York Philharmonic from January 1998 to September 2008. Ya-Chi Cheng has enjoyed a successful career as an orchestral musician. Oscar Salazar

Oscar is Timpanist and Section Percussionist for the Queretaro State Philharmonic Orchestra. He was appointed to the percussion section of the Queretaro State Philharmonic Orchestra in 2000, and in 2002 was promoted to position of Timpanist. Mr. Salazar received his bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance from the Mexico State Conservatory of Music, where he graduated with an Honorable Mention. His instructor, and guide during his artistic education was Professor Jose Luis Barquera G. Percussionist with the Mexico State Symphony Orchestra.

Marcos is Principal Timpanist at the National Symphony Orchestra or Argentina. He also was principal timpanist at the Colon Theatre Opera Orchestra. As timpanist was invited to play with the Colon Theater Philharmonic Orchestra, Camerata Bariloche, Opera Festival Association Orchestra, UCA University Orchestra, Cámara Mayo Orchestra, “Juan de Dios Filiberto” Orchestra.

Louis is Percussionist for the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble. He is the Founder and Artistic Director of Toolbox Percussion, as well as Creative Director for MUSE3. Siu served as Principal Percussionist of the Macao Orchestra and was one of the founding members of the Hong Kong New Music Ensemble. His orchestral appearances include concerts and tour with the Hong Kong Philharmonic, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Qatar Philharmonic, Pacific Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Asian Youth Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Orchestra, and the Busan Maru International Music Festival, he was an ExxonMobil New Vision Artist at the 40th Hong Kong Arts Festival.

Marinos is Principal Timpanist National Opera of Greece, Athens.
Born in Athens Greece 1984. He studied percussion under Konstantinos Vorissis and Konstantinos Theodorakos.
He continued his studies in Hochschule für Musik Detmold (Germany) under Prof. Peter Prommel.
At the same time he studied privately timpani under the Berlin Philharmonic timpanist Wieland Welzel and the Bochumer Symphoniker timpanist Arend Weitzel.

José Luis is the Principal Timpanist of the National Orchestra of Dominican Republic. In addition, Jose Luis teaches drum set at the National Conservatory of Music of D.R., classical percussion in the Elementary Music School Elila Mena, the APEC high school, and the Foundation Festiband. Jose Luis is the co-musical director and percussionist of the first classical percussion group in Dominican Republic, ATEZA’O. Along with being a timpanist, Jose Luis is the conductor of the Youth Dominican Orchestra of Winds (ODV) and is the assistant conductor of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of San Pedro de Macoris.

A native of Champaign, Illinois, he began his percussion studies at the age of twelve. He completed his Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with William Moersch and Ricardo Flores and went on to receive his Master of Music degree at the Chicago College of Performing Arts under the tutelage of Ed Harrison and Vadim Karpinos. He furthered his post-graduate education at the New England Conservatory with Will Hudgins and later at Lynn University with Ted Atkatz.
